The butterfly logo represents the outcome of a ballistic atom pump. Atoms approach the pump from left and right; the horizontal axis represents the time of arrival at the pump, and the vertical axis represents the energy of the atoms. In the red regions, both atoms go out to the right; in the blue regions, both go to the left; in the white regions, one goes left and one right. The fuzziness occurs because the outcome has fractal structure.
